Eva
Who is Eva?
Eva is a computer based virtual agent invented to save you time and
money. Eva
interacts with people via the phone, web and e-mail.
How does Eva contact people?
You can request that Eva contact people by any
combination of the following methods: phone, e-mail, and SMS text message.
When does Eva contact people?
You can provide a time and date for Eva to begin contacting people. If you do not provide a specific time, Eva will start right away.
When Eva finishes, will she call me?
When you ask Eva to perform a notification, question or find first, you
can specify how Eva should contact you to notify you of the results.
You can provide a phone number and/or an e-mail address. For
example, after completing a notification, Eva will advise you of how
many people she attempted to contact and how many people actively
acknowledged the message.
Phones
What happens if no one answers the phone?
When Eva attempts to call you, she will let the phone ring for up to
thirty (30) seconds. If no one answers the phone within thirty
seconds, she will automatically attempt the alternative methods you
provided.
What happens if an answering machine or
voice mail answers the phone?
Eva will leave a message on answering machines and with voice mail.
As Eva does not actually interact with the person to get an answer to
the question or confirmation of the message, she will automatically
attempt to contact the person via the alternate methods you provided.
It is important to supply e-mail addresses for all of your contacts as
Eva will send an e-mail to people she leaves messages with. The
e-mail contains a link that allows the person to answer questions or
confirm receipt of notifications.
How do I specify an extension for a phone
that Eva should call?
Unfortunately, at this time, Eva can't call specific extensions.
What about call intercept?
You should let your recipients know to turn call intercept off, or to add Eventuality's phone number (888)-467-1777 to their allowed caller id list.
What Countries Can Eva Call?
At this time, Eva can only call numbers in the United States and Canada.
E-Mail
How does Eva know that a person has read an
e-mail message?
There are two ways that Eva knows when an e-mail message has been read.
First, the e-mail message contains a link to a web page that the
recipient can click so as to specifically let you know that the message
has been read. Second, the e-mail message contains an image.
When this image is downloaded from Eva's server, Eva takes note and
records that fact.
Why do some people not receive e-mail
messages from Eva? I know the e-mail address is good.
Unfortunately Spam is very prevalent. As a defensive measure, many
individuals and organizations have installed spam guards. These
spam guards sometimes prevent Eva from delivering these messages.
If this happens, please ask the message recipient to specifically allow
messages from
eva@eventuality.com
and from you. The simplest way to allow messages is to add
eva@eventuality.com
to your address book.
Billing
How does Eva compute billing minutes for
phone usage?
Eva computes phone usage in whole minutes. All fractional minutes
are rounded up. For example a call that lasted one minute thirty
seconds will be rounded up to two minutes. For a specific
notification, question or find-first, Eva will sum all of the minutes
from all of the calls that she made to perform your request. For
detailed information regarding how long each individual call took,
please look at the specific job in your "Past Actions".
Why is my account disabled?
Unfortunately, when we are unable to receive payment from the credit
card you supply, we are forced to disable notifications, questions and
find-firsts for your account. As soon as you're able to correct
your billing information, we'll be able to turn those features back on.
General Q&A
Will
Eva have new features in the future?
Of course.
In the
short term, we're adding the ability to schedule a
notification, question or find-first for any time in the future.
We at Eventuality are dedicated to saving you time and
money. Specifically, the next upgrade of Eva will include support
for coordinating meetings between groups of people and for booking
appointments with businesses when the receptionist for that business is
unavailable.
